Kufic Intermediate Calligraphy Workshop
Join this intermediate-level Kufic calligraphy workshop and expand your knowledge of one of the oldest and most iconic styles of Arabic script.
Originally developed from the Hijazi script and linked to the city of Kufa in Iraq, Kufic calligraphy is known for its bold, vertical letterforms that resemble modern design aesthetics.
The word ‘Kufic’ is related to the city Kufa in Iraq, and it was developed from Hijazi script. Kufic calligraphy is characterised by its bold and vertical letters which often look like modern design. This 4-session course will build on the Kufic beginners’ course with more words and phrases.
The course is suitable for people of intermediate level, and is ideal for those who have already completed the Beginners’ Ruq’ah course.
