Your Ghosts Are Mine: Expanded Cinemas, Amplified Voices brings together over 40 visionary filmmakers and artists from the Arab world, Africa, and Southeast Asia. The exhibition reflects on the contemporary experiences of community, exile, borders, and belonging through immersive and experimental cinematic forms. Premiered in 2024 during the Venice Biennale at ACP-Palazzo Franchetti, this highly acclaimed exhibition now arrives in Doha. It features ten thematic sections across seven galleries, exploring powerful ideas like deserts, ruins, borders, and the cosmos. Visitors will experience a rich mix of genres—fiction, documentary, animation, memoir—blending fantasy and tradition, spirituality and postcolonial perspectives. This exhibition expands the definition of cinema and positions it firmly within global art history. Curated by Matthieu Orléan, and produced by Qatar Museums in collaboration with Media City Qatar, Doha Film Institute, Mathaf, and the Art Mill Museum, this exhibition is a major cultural highlight for 2025.
