The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has officially signed a cooperation agreement with Trails Sports Events to organize the sixth edition of the Theeb Desert Ultramarathon 2025. Recognized by the International Trail Running Association, the event is scheduled to take place on November 21st and 22nd and will feature both running and mountain bike races.
In a press conference held at Lusail Sports Hall, organizers announced an exciting expansion of age group categories. Children aged 3 to 14 years will now have the opportunity to participate in the cycling competition for the first time. Special classification categories will be introduced for young participants, similar to the Alpha Theeb and Beta Theeb categories used in the main adult race.
The 2025 edition will also open participation to individuals over the age of 60, reinforcing the event’s commitment to inclusivity and encouraging engagement from all age groups in society.
The Theeb Desert Ultramarathon continues to grow as a key sporting event in Qatar, promoting community wellness, endurance sports, and family participation.
