The State of Qatar participated in the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, which officially began on April 13, 2025, in Japan. More than 130 countries and 25 international organizations are participating in the event which is expected to attract approximately 28 million visitors from around the world, including 3.5 million from outside Japan.
The pavilion highlights Qatar’s transformation from its maritime roots to a future of innovation, progress, and sustainability. Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences that celebrate Qatar’s achievements in areas like human development, the environment, and the knowledge-based economy.
With a strong focus on global dialogue and international cooperation, the pavilion reflects Qatar’s vision for a more inclusive and sustainable future. The artistic design, inspired by the traditional sambuk boat floating on water, blends Qatari and Japanese cultures, symbolizing the harmony between tradition and progress.
Spanning 1,846 square meters, the pavilion places people at the heart of development and invites visitors on a journey of culture, creativity, and innovation.
