Event Overview
The Saudi Cultural Week at Darb Al-Saai, Umm Salal, is a collaborative effort between the Qatari and Saudi Ministries of Culture. It celebrates the shared cultural heritage of both nations through art, heritage, and creative industries.
Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Saudi culture through interactive exhibits that showcase traditional arts, customs, and innovations. This initiative promotes cross-cultural exchange, enriches public knowledge, and fosters talent in diverse artistic fields.

Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Dulaimi, Director of the Culture and Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture, emphasized that this event is more than just an exhibition—it is a tribute to a shared cultural heritage. He highlighted the deep-rooted connections between Qatari and Saudi traditions, particularly in arts and customs, making this week a remarkable experience that reflects the nations’ intertwined identities.
He also stressed that culture is a powerful bridge between people, fostering understanding and mutual appreciation. The event will encompass a journey from folk traditions to contemporary artistic expressions, showcasing a legacy passed down through generations.

A special highlight is the participation of the "2025 Year of Handicrafts" initiative from Qatar, which will showcase the importance of handicrafts in a dedicated pavilion.
The Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Global Centre for Arabic Calligraphy will also host an exhibition featuring calligraphy tools, pressed paper, silk-thread ink, and historic Arabic scripts. Visitors can also explore a video presentation detailing the centre’s mission to preserve Arabic calligraphy.
