MoEHE Early Registration Timeline Announced for 2026-27 School Year

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced the early registration timeline for public schools for the academic year 2026–2027, with registration set to begin on April 12, 2026.

Parents are encouraged to complete student registration according to the official timelines announced by the Ministry to ensure smooth enrollment procedures.

According to MoEHE, early registration will run from April 12 until August 13, 2026, with a structured schedule organized by student categories, nationalities, and educational stages to ensure an efficient process.

The Ministry confirmed that the first phase, which included automatic student promotion between grade levels (kindergarten to Grade 6, Grade 7 to Grade 9, and Grade 9 to Grade 10), has already been completed. The next phase will involve online enrollment.

Registration Timeline by Category
April 12 – August 13, 2026:
Siblings among Qatari nationals, children of Qatari women, and children of GCC citizens
May 17 – August 13, 2026:
Resident students (sibling category)
April 26 – August 13, 2026:
Non-sibling Qatari nationals, children of Qatari women, and children of GCC citizens
May 24 – August 13, 2026:
Non-sibling resident students
August 25 – October 1, 2026:
Online enrollment for all nationalities

The Ministry also announced plans to open seven new schools, including three specialty and technical schools, to increase enrollment capacity and improve educational services.

Officials also confirmed that students with disabilities will be enrolled through specialized procedures in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation to ensure appropriate educational placement, including inclusive schools, early intervention preschools, and early childhood intervention centers.

Additionally, online registration is available for evening education centers and adult education programs through the Maarif Portal, with nearly 500 students already registered. The Ministry emphasized that continuing education opportunities remain available to support lifelong learning and educational development for all students.
