The Hayya platform has received the Silver Stevie® Award in the Technical Innovation of the Year in Government Technology category at the 2026 Stevie® Awards for Technology Excellence, recognising its continued development as a digital platform delivering AI-enabled, automated, and integrated government services.
Operated by Qatar Tourism, Hayya has evolved significantly since 2024, expanding from a visitor entry platform into a connected national digital ecosystem that supports Qatar’s tourism sector, government services, and major international events. The platform now provides a unified e-visa processing system that brings together identity verification, approvals, payments, notifications, and access services through a single digital workflow.
Hayya’s latest innovations include OCR-powered document extraction, passport parsing, ICAO photo compliance checks, and automated validation workflows. These technologies have improved processing efficiency, reduced manual intervention, and increased application accuracy.
In 2025, the platform processed nearly 850,000 applications, with an average of one e-visa processed every 35 seconds. During the same period, application correction rates were reduced to 5%, reflecting improvements in the platform’s automated processes.
Commenting on the achievement, Saeed Al Kuwari, Director of Hayya, said the award reflects the platform’s commitment to innovation, technology, and user-focused solutions that provide a seamless travel experience from visa application through to arrival. He added that Hayya will continue to advance its digital services in support of Qatar’s vision for a smarter and more connected future.
Hayya serves as the State of Qatar’s official e-visa platform and central digital gateway, providing integrated visa processing and event services through a single user-friendly interface.
