The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced adjustments to school day timings in public and private schools following the decision to shift studies to a distance learning system.

The updated schedule will apply from March 8 to March 12, 2026, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of learning during this period and ensure that educational activities continue smoothly through online platforms.

New School Timings
Primary Stage
10:00 AM – 12:35 PM
Preparatory Stage and Secondary Stage
10:30 AM – 1:15 PM

For private schools, administrations will flexibly adjust their study schedules to ensure the required number of study hours are completed during this period.

Live broadcast classes for students in both public and private schools will take place through the official educational platforms, following the approved schedules set by each school.

Parents and students are encouraged to follow the schedules issued by their respective schools to ensure smooth participation in distance learning classes.
