The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has announced new amendments to the school day in public schools with the start of the 2025–2026 academic year. For the secondary stage, students will be allowed an early dismissal at 12:45 PM on Thursdays only, giving them additional time for rest and extracurricular activities at the end of the week. For the primary stage, the Ministry has introduced short five-minute breaks between class periods to help young students recharge and improve focus during the school day. These updates are part of MOEHE’s ongoing efforts to enhance the learning environment and improve student well-being in Qatar’s public schools.
