Panda House
Explore Qatar’s unique Panda House at Al Khor, where you can meet two adorable giant pandas and enjoy nearby attractions at Al Khor Family Park. Just 50 km from Doha, this world-class enclosure provides a luxurious habitat for Thuraya and Suhail, the first giant pandas in Qatar. Their dedicated caretakers communicate in Mandarin, English, and the Sichuan dialect, ensuring they feel right at home. Born in China’s Wolong Panda Reserve, the pandas traveled in custom crates to Doha, arriving in October 2022 as a gift to celebrate the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. After a 21-day quarantine, they made their public debut, marking a historic first for the region.
Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve
Al Dosari Zoo & Game Reserve in Ash-Shahaniya is one of Qatar’s most beloved safari-style wildlife destinations. Privately owned by the Al Dosari family, this family-friendly spot invites visitors to explore a rich variety of exotic animals including Arabian oryxes, cheetahs, Arabian wolves, and Barbary sheep, all within a natural desert landscape.
