Strong winds and cooler nights are expected across Qatar over the next three days, starting Thursday, January 15, 2026, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.
The department’s latest weather advisory highlights a noticeable drop in nighttime temperatures, with readings expected to range between 13°C and 23°C across the country. Light rain and blowing dust may occur on Thursday, potentially affecting visibility in some areas.
Winds will be predominantly northwesterly, blowing at speeds of 10 to 20 knots, with occasional gusts reaching up to 30 knots, particularly in open and coastal locations.
Marine conditions are also expected to be rough during this period. Sea wave heights are forecast to range between 4 and 8 feet, rising to around 11 feet at times, prompting caution for sea activities.
Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather alerts and take necessary precautions, especially when planning outdoor or marine activities.
