Heritage activities and competitions for children were held Friday, as part of the seventh edition of the Souq Waqif Equestrian Festival 2026.
The festival, organized by the Celebrations Committee of the Private Engineering Office, is witnessing wide participation from local and international owners and breeders of purebred Arabian horses and will continue until January 27.
The fourth day of the festival saw active participation from children, reflecting the interest in promoting and instilling heritage values in the younger generations, thus reviving the authentic heritage closely linked to Qatari society.
The fourth day’s events also featured several championships and competitions for purebred Arabian horses, along with an auction of Arabian horses in the beauty category, as well as a range of accompanying activities.
These included booths selling equestrian equipment, various recreational activities for children, and designated areas for families, with seating and chairs for the public to enjoy the events held throughout the festival.
The festival continues on Saturday, with the 15th Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship for the beauty category, which will run until January 26th.
