The 10th Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition (S’hail 2026) will open Tuesday at Katara Cultural Village, bringing together participants from 14 Arab and foreign countries. The five-day exhibition will run through September 12.
The 2026 edition is described as the most diverse edition of S’hail to date, with participating countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, France, Türkiye, Lebanon, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, South Africa, Portugal, Spain and Russia.
The exhibition features 155 entities and companies showcasing a wide range of products and specialised services related to falconry, hunting and land treks.
Over the years, S’hail has developed into a platform bringing together hunting, falconry, heritage, culture, economy and tourism. The exhibition highlights Qatar’s longstanding commitment to preserving its heritage and passing it on to future generations.
S’hail 2026 also brings together traditional Qatari and Arab heritage with modern technologies, products and services from international markets, positioning the exhibition as a major gathering for both heritage enthusiasts and professionals in the sector.
Visitors can explore hunting and falconry products and technologies, as well as purchase hunting and camping equipment and falcons.
The exhibition’s accompanying programme includes a falcon auction and several competitions, including awards for the best falcon hood, most beautiful participating pavilion, best garage and best verses about the falcon.
Visual arts will also form part of the programme, with artists painting wilderness and hunting scenes live in front of visitors, creating an environment where art and heritage come together.
S’hail 2026 is designed to bring commerce, culture, art and heritage together, offering visitors an experience that extends beyond a traditional exhibition.
The organising committee has also announced new facilities for visitors and participants through the Metrash app. These include submitting applications for hunting weapon licences, replacing old hunting weapons with new ones in accordance with applicable regulations, and purchasing ammunition during the exhibition subject to approved requirements.
The measures aim to simplify procedures and ensure that licensing and purchases are carried out within the applicable legal framework.
S’hail 2026 is supported and sponsored by the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM), along with several national institutions and companies. The partnerships highlight the importance of supporting cultural and heritage events and promoting Qatar’s heritage.
The exhibition continues its development as a regional and international platform dedicated to preserving hunting and falconry traditions while connecting heritage with modern products, technologies and services.
