The Qatar Meteorology Department has shared the latest weather update for April, showing seasonal changes in temperature and wind patterns across Qatar.
According to the report, the daily mean temperature is 26.6°C. the lowest temperature 10.5°C, while the highest temperature 46°C.
The QMD also explained that frontal systems are starting to decrease and weaken during this time of the year. This happens because of the Indian Monsoon low pressure system, which usually begins in the second half of April. In Qatar, this period is locally known as Alsarayat season.
During Alsarayat, the prevailing wind is usually northerly, and land and sea breezes become more common, typically starting from early afternoon and continuing until early morning the next day.
Residents may notice changes in wind, temperatures gradually increasing, and unstable weather on some days as Qatar moves closer to the summer season.
