The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast the possibility of local rain clouds forming over some areas of the country from Sunday, October 11, to Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Rain may be accompanied by thunder on Tuesday, according to the latest weather updates.

The forecast period coincides with the pre-monsoon transitional period, locally associated with the formation of convective clouds known as Al-Haqban, which occurs before the Al-Wasmi season. During this period, scattered rainfall is possible and may be thundery at times.

According to the department, these local clouds form when sea breezes from Qatar’s eastern and western coasts meet over the central parts of the country. The resulting weather conditions may produce strong downdraft winds, potentially causing blowing dust and reduced horizontal visibility.

Residents are advised to remain aware of changing weather conditions, particularly if rain and thunderstorms develop in their areas.
