Qatar University Announces 13th Cultural Village Event on Campus

Qatar University has announced the details of the 13th edition of its Cultural Village event, scheduled to take place on March 30 and 31 on campus. The annual event reflects the university’s commitment to promoting dialogue and fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates cultural diversity among its student community.

During a press conference, the university explained that the Cultural Village serves as a dynamic platform where students from different nationalities showcase their heritage and cultural identities. Through exhibition booths, artistic performances, traditional attire, popular cuisine, and traditional arts and crafts, the event highlights the richness and diversity of campus life.

Director of Student Activities Abdullah Al Mulla described the event as more than a celebration, noting that it is a vibrant space for intercultural understanding and dialogue. He emphasized that the interactive experiences allow students to proudly represent their heritage while encouraging mutual respect.

Head of Campus Events and Programs Mira Al Kuwari said the Cultural Village has become a key highlight on the student activities calendar, celebrating the traditions and customs of different nations each year. She added that this year’s theme reinforces the idea that culture is not only a historical legacy but a lived identity.

The event aligns with the university’s strategy to empower students and enhance participation in extracurricular activities, supporting the development of leadership and social skills while promoting cultural awareness, coexistence, and social responsibility.
