Qatar is expected to experience fresh to strong northwesterly winds on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 1 and 2, 2026, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.
The department said the winds are expected to range from fresh to strong during the two-day period, with a chance of blowing dust in some areas.
The dusty conditions may lead to a deterioration in horizontal visibility in parts of the country. Residents and motorists are advised to remain aware of changing weather conditions, particularly in areas where visibility may be affected by blowing dust.
The Qatar Meteorology Department has also issued marine warnings for the same period as the strong northwesterly winds are expected to affect sea conditions.
The weather alert comes as Qatar enters the beginning of September, with residents advised to follow the latest updates and warnings from the Qatar Meteorology Department.
