Qatar has secured the top position in the Middle East and Africa for healthcare, according to Numbeo’s Health Care Index 2026, while also achieving an impressive 18th place globally.

The ranking places Qatar ahead of other countries in the Middle East and Africa included in the index, highlighting the country’s strong standing in healthcare at both regional and international levels.

Qatar is also the only country from the Middle East and Africa to feature among the global top 20 in the 2026 Health Care Index. This gives the country a notable position in the latest global healthcare rankings.

According to the 2026 index, Qatar’s healthcare score increased from 73.4 to 73.6. The rise reflects an improvement in the country’s overall score compared with the previous figure.

The latest ranking further strengthens Qatar’s position as the leading country in the region for healthcare, while its global ranking places it among the highest-ranked countries worldwide.

With its 18th-place global ranking and position as the only Middle Eastern and African country in the top 20, Qatar continues to stand out in the 2026 Numbeo Health Care Index.
