Qatar has issued a marine warning urging the public to avoid all marine activities due to expected strong winds and high waves offshore.
According to the warning, strong winds and rough sea conditions are expected offshore starting from the afternoon of Saturday, 30 May 2026, and are forecast to continue through the end of next week.
Wave heights are expected to range between 2 and 6 feet, occasionally reaching up to 8 feet in some offshore areas. The expected conditions may create hazardous situations for marine activities and small vessels.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid all marine activities during the warning period and to exercise extreme caution near coastal and offshore areas. Fishermen, boat owners, and sea-goers are encouraged to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and safety advisories.
Residents planning marine trips or recreational activities at sea are advised to postpone their plans until conditions improve.
