The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced the introduction of modifications to the fifth series of Qatari banknotes, specifically the 5 Riyals, 10 Riyals, and 50 Riyals denominations.
According to QCB, the updates have been made in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the State of Qatar. The modifications include updates to the following elements on the banknotes: The Official State Emblem, Arabic Numerals, Issue Date
The updated designs will be reflected in the fifth edition of the 5 Riyals, 10 Riyals, and 50 Riyals banknotes.
Qatar Central Bank confirmed that the previous edition of these denominations from the fifth series, issued before the latest modifications, will remain legal tender and continue to circulate normally without any impact on their validity or use.
QCB also stated that similar modifications will be applied to the remaining currency denominations at a later stage.
