National Cyber Security Agency Warns Against Sharing Boarding Pass Photos Online
National Cyber Security Agency Boarding Pass QR Code Warning

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has urged travelers to avoid sharing photos of their boarding passes on social media, warning that the printed QR code can expose sensitive personal information and travel details.

According to the agency, boarding passes often contain QR codes that may reveal personal data, flight information, and other travel-related details if scanned or accessed by unauthorized individuals. Sharing these images online could increase the risk of privacy breaches and identity-related threats.

Instead of posting boarding pass photos with visible details, the agency recommends completely concealing or removing all personal information, including the QR code, before sharing travel memories online.

The awareness message encourages travelers to continue sharing their special moments while taking simple precautions to protect their privacy and digital security.

As travel activity increases during the summer season, the National Cyber Security Agency reminds the public that safeguarding personal information online is an essential part of staying safe throughout their journey.
