Qatar’s Ministry of Labour (MoL) has officially announced the countdown to the implementation of its annual summer working hours regulation, aimed at protecting workers from heat stress in open areas.
Starting 1 June 2025, the decision prohibits working in outdoor areas between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM, in line with national efforts to enhance occupational safety during the summer months.
As part of this initiative, the MoL’s Occupational Safety and Health Department is conducting a countrywide awareness campaign throughout May 2025. The campaign is designed to educate employers and workers about the dangers of heat stress and the best practices for prevention, ensuring a safer work environment across sectors exposed to high temperatures.
