As temperatures continue to rise across Qatar, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) has reminded motorists about the importance of following vehicle fire prevention guidelines during periods of extreme heat.

The Ministry emphasized that awareness and precautionary measures can significantly reduce the risk of vehicle fires and help ensure the safety of drivers, passengers, and property.

To help prevent vehicle fires during high-temperature conditions, MOI advises motorists to:
Do not leave mobile phones or portable chargers (power banks) inside vehicles.
Avoid leaving lighters in vehicles, as they may become hazardous when exposed to excessive heat.
Ensure the vehicle is free from perfumes, hand sanitizers, and other flammable substances that may be affected by high temperatures.
Refrain from making unsafe modifications to the vehicle’s electrical systems, which could increase the risk of fire.

The Ministry reiterated that following these simple safety measures can help protect lives and property, especially during the summer months when temperatures can reach very high levels.
