The Ministry of Municipality has recently inaugurated the Hazm Al Markhiya Park in Doha’s Al Markhiya district, aiming to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing a healthy and recreational environment.

- Green Spaces: 14,500 square meters (60% of the park)
- Flora: 273 native trees and 421 shrubs, promoting biodiversity and improving air quality

- Cycling Path: 687 meters
- Outdoor Fitness Area: 85 square meters
- Children’s Play Area: 454 square meters, with sections for children under five and those aged six to twelve, adhering to high safety standards
- Amenities: Restrooms, seating areas, and 44 parking spaces
- Sustainability: Eco-friendly lighting solutions
Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs at the Ministry, Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Karani, emphasized that the park’s opening reflects the ministry’s commitment to developing public parks to world-class standards, offering a secure environment for sports and recreational activities, and thereby enhancing the quality of life for citizens and residents.
