Qatar’s Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), represented by its Security Technologies Department, has developed a new system capable of producing clean drinking water from atmospheric moisture.
Named “Badr,” the system extracts moisture from the air and converts it into potable water while meeting international safety and quality standards.
The system consists of two models designed for different field requirements. The first model is intended for indoor use and can produce up to 200 litres of water per day, equivalent to around 600 bottles of 330 millilitres.
The second model is designed for locations requiring higher production capacity and can produce up to 5,000 litres per day, equivalent to approximately 12,000 bottles of 330 millilitres.
The system has also been designed to operate efficiently in environments affected by chemical and radioactive contaminants, supporting its potential use in challenging field conditions.
Powered by solar energy, the technology aims to support resource sustainability while enhancing field readiness and using modern solutions to address security and environmental challenges.
