As thousands of families and students return to Doha from their summer travels this August, Hamad International Airport (HIA) has shared a practical arrival guide to help passengers plan ahead and move smoothly through the terminal.
For families travelling with young children, complimentary child strollers are available across the terminal concourses, with stroller nests located at various points throughout the airport.
Passengers can also make use of the complimentary shuttle buggy service from designated stations in Concourses D and E or board along the route, subject to seat availability. The service drops passengers near the Arrivals immigration escalators.
Eligible passengers can use Scan & Go with E-gates to help make the immigration process smoother before proceeding to baggage reclaim. Children using the service must meet the minimum height requirement of 120 cm.
For those collecting family members or friends, HIA recommends using the car park. The parking area is a short walk from the Arrivals Hall and can help keep traffic moving smoothly.
Getting from the Airport to Doha
Passengers have several options for travelling from Hamad International Airport into the city.
Ride-hailing services including Uber, BadrGo and Ryde have a designated pick-up point on the ground floor of the car park, next to the car rental booths.
Authorised taxis and buses are available from designated pavilions at each corner of the Arrivals Hall. The services also provide lost-and-found support.
The Doha Metro is also accessible via a short indoor walk from the airport, providing a connection to the wider city.
Other available services include car rental, limousine and valet services within the terminal. Valet parking is available at both Departures and Arrivals.
Collecting Your Baggage
Passengers can check the flight information screens in the baggage reclaim area to find their assigned baggage belt. All bags, including oversized luggage, will be delivered to the designated belt.
Before leaving the baggage reclaim area, passengers are advised to check their baggage tags to make sure they have collected the correct bags. Anyone unable to locate their luggage or missing an item can seek assistance from the Baggage Services Office in the Arrivals Hall.
With these services available, Hamad International Airport is helping passengers returning to Doha this August make their journey home smoother and more convenient.
