Skywatchers in Qatar will have the chance to observe a close pairing of the star Alpha Geminorum and the waning crescent Moon during the early hours of tomorrow morning.

According to Qatar Calendar House, Alpha Geminorum will pass close to the waning crescent Moon of the month of Safar. Residents across Qatar will be able to see the two together with the naked eye above the eastern horizon after moonrise at 3:17 a.m., continuing until just before sunrise.

Alpha Geminorum is the brightest star in the constellation Gemini. The celestial pairing will provide an opportunity for residents to observe the star and crescent Moon together in the early morning sky.
