Welcome to The American School of Doha! Established in 1988 by the U.S. Embassy and prominent members of the Qatari community, ASD has witnessed and met the growing needs of international families in Doha. Now, 35 years later, ASD has become one of the top American international schools in our region and across the globe. Learner opportunities are tremendous, and ASD student achievement follows the highest trajectories. Our diversity of cultures and backgrounds is an exciting strength of the school; our facilities are enviable here in Qatar and across our region

We challenge ourselves each and every day to provide a sense of belonging for each child who enters our community. ASD is a school committed to enduring values of respect, honesty, responsibility, and kindness. These values guide and sustain us in seeing our vision of empowering Learners to discover their passions and develop their talents come true. Our mission – to nurture each child’s unique identity – is driven through our 6 C’s: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and active Character and Citizenship development.

We choose sustainable practices, we harness current technology, and we promote evidence-based approaches to the study of real-world problems. American School of Doha’s focus on student learning in a safe, secure environment ensures that each of our students is encouraged to reach his or her potential.
