Qatar has entered a new phase of the summer season as 15 July 2026 marked the first of the nights associated with Suhail, signalling the arrival of Al-Hana’a Star, which officially rises on 16 July 2026.

Al-Hana’a is the fourth summer mansion and the last of the Gemini constellation. It is also considered one of the northern stars and is commonly known as the Second Gemini.

This 13-day period is traditionally associated with some of the hottest weather of the year. Temperatures typically reach their seasonal peak, while hot, dry winds continue well into the night.

As the dry season gradually comes to an end, humidity levels begin to increase, particularly in Qatar’s coastal areas. The higher humidity may also contribute to the formation of early morning fog, while winds generally become calmer during this period.

Qatar can expect the combination of intense heat and rising humidity to make outdoor conditions feel even warmer over the coming days.
