The Qatar Meteorology Department has announced the rise of the Al-Butain star beginning on May 25, 2026, marking a 13-day seasonal period linked to changing summer weather patterns in the region.
According to the department, this phase signals the start of the summer’s forty-day period. During this time, northwesterly winds are expected to become stronger, often causing dust storms across Gulf countries, including Qatar. Temperatures are also expected to gradually increase from sunrise until sunset throughout the period.
The seasonal star periods are part of traditional weather observations used in the Gulf region to track climate changes and weather conditions throughout the year.
