Air Sports Museum Inaugurated at 47th World Military Parachuting Championship

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated the Air Sports Museum, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 47th World Military Parachuting Championship (CISM 2025).

The inauguration of the Air Sports Museum marks a new achievement in the State of Qatar’s success record in organizing and hosting major international sporting events and championships.

Meanwhile, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani received a Guinness World Records certificate in recognition of the State of Qatar’s exceptional accomplishment of organizing the largest military parachute air display, with the participation of a large number of international teams and in accordance with internationally recognized standards.

Guinness World Records representative Emma Brain handed His Excellency the certificate, following the opening of the 47th World Military Parachuting Championship.

The Guinness World Records representative expressed her appreciation for this record being registered under the name of the State of Qatar, adding that the event reflects a high level of professionalism and outstanding organization
