On February 9, 2025, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF), attended a significant event commemorating Qatar Foundation’s 30 years of contributions to education, science, and community development. The celebration took place at Al Shaqab in Education City, a location of special significance to QF’s founders.
During the event, Her Highness Sheikha Moza delivered a speech highlighting the foundation’s journey since its inception in 1995. She emphasized the transformative impact of QF’s initiatives, stating, “We have been on a trailblazing journey, spanning three decades, in which visionary ideas and programs have been developed, driven by unrelenting determination to arrive at our goal which is national and Arab at its heart, and international in its standards.”
A symbolic moment of the evening was when the Father Amir and Her Highness Sheikha Moza planted seeds beneath an illuminated image of a Sidra tree, QF’s emblem, echoing Her Highness’s founding words: “Tomorrow is seeded here.”
The event also featured personal stories from individuals whose lives have been positively influenced by QF’s initiatives, showcasing the foundation’s extensive impact over the past three decades.
Since its establishment, Qatar Foundation has developed a unique ecosystem encompassing 13 schools and seven universities, from which 17,500 students have graduated. Its achievements include pioneering genomics research, contributing to precision healthcare, and shaping policies in education, healthcare, and sustainability.
This milestone event not only celebrated QF’s past accomplishments but also reinforced its ongoing commitment to fostering human potential and contributing to societal development on local, regional, and international levels.
