Torba Market Returns to Qatar with Torba Junior Opportunities for Kids
Torba Market

Torba Market is returning for the 2026–2027 season, with applications now open for local vendors, workshop hosts and children interested in running their own market stalls through the Torba Junior programme. As the market celebrates its 10th anniversary, families have an opportunity to introduce children to creativity, handmade products and the experience of running a small business.

Torba Junior is designed for children aged 5 to 12, giving them a booth of their own to sell products they have made themselves. The programme offers young makers an opportunity to share their creativity with the community, learn how a market works and experience selling their creations in an eco-friendly setting.

Parents must apply on behalf of their children through Torba Market’s online application portal. Once approved, children can be allocated a booth on Fridays and Saturdays, with three slots available each day. All products displayed and sold must be made by the children themselves. Plastic is not permitted, adult supervision is required at all times, and junior booths do not have electricity.

Torba Market Opens Applications for the 2026–2027 Season

Alongside Torba Junior, Torba Market is welcoming applications from local producers, makers, artisans and small businesses for its new season. The market operates at Education City and Qanat Quartier at The Pearl, with the Qanat Quartier market expanding in both space and operating hours this season.

Torba Market looks for applicants who demonstrate genuine skills, creativity and a passion for what they make. Its selection criteria include ethical sourcing, efforts towards zero waste and a personal connection to the products being sold. The market is particularly interested in people who produce food, grow ingredients or create handmade items rather than simply selling products for commercial purposes.

Applications are also open to workshop hosts who want to share their knowledge and skills with the Torba community. Workshops can cater to different age groups, and a dedicated workshop area is available at the market locations, with tables and chairs provided on request.

How to Apply for Torba Junior

Parents can submit an application for their children through the official Torba Market vendor portal. Applicants need to provide information about themselves and include photos of the products they make or the skills they intend to share.

Applications are reviewed in weekly batches on a rolling basis. Successful applicants will be invited for an interview with the Torba team before receiving access to the online portal to manage their participation.
