Doha Festival City will host RunFest 2026 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on September 25, offering participants of different ages and fitness levels the opportunity to take part in a professionally managed, chip-timed running event.

The festival will feature a bespoke 1.3-kilometre circuit and five race categories: a 10 km race, 5 km race, 1 km Fun Run, 1 km Kids Run for children aged 8 to 12, and a 500-metre Mini Kids Run for children under 8.

Alongside the races, RunFest 2026 will include an Event Village with a main stage featuring live entertainment, spectator viewing areas, expert-led warm-up sessions, exhibitor booths, and activities for visitors of different ages.

The event will conclude with an official podium presentation, where top-performing participants will be recognised with exclusive Doha Festival City Gift Cards.

RunFest 2026 forms part of Doha Festival City’s wider community wellness programme. In June 2026, the mall signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Qatar Sports For All Federation (QSFA), under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, to support accessible opportunities for physical activity and community engagement.

The partnership has included a weekly Friday Community Run, which recorded more than 6,000 cumulative participations between May and August 2026, followed by the launch of the 5K Steps Challenge. The initiative encourages visitors to stay active while walking inside the mall, with participation tracked through a live leaderboard on the QSFA app.
