MOEHE Kicks Off 2026-27 Back-to-School Campaign

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has launched its back-to-school campaign for the 2026-2027 academic year, featuring interactive activities, family-focused booths and training workshops ahead of the new school year.

The campaign includes activities for students and families, along with specialised training workshops for teachers, academic leaders and members of the educational community.

At the centre of this year’s campaign is the “First Step” initiative, being introduced for the first time in partnership with Rafeeq. The initiative aims to support the transition into school for almost 10,700 newly enrolled first-grade students across public schools.

As part of preparations for the academic year, MOEHE will also hold its annual educational forum on August 25 at the Qatar National Convention Centre. The forum will bring together education leaders, teachers and partners to discuss educational priorities and share expertise ahead of the new academic year.

The forum will feature more than 15 training workshops, as well as a panel discussion titled “People First: Authenticity Is Strength and Digital Transformation Is Empowerment.”

Discussions will focus on issues shaping the future of education, including the importance of people in the educational process, strengthening identity, values and authenticity, and using digital transformation and new technologies to support teachers and students and enhance the educational experience.

Back-to-School Activities for Families

MOEHE is also expanding its community engagement activities through partnerships and events across Qatar.

As part of its renewed partnership with Mowasalat (Karwa), the Ministry will have a dedicated booth at Place Vendome from August 21 to 27. The booth will feature interactive, recreational and educational activities for children and families, along with performances on the booth stage.

The Ministry is also participating in Al Meera’s Back-to-School campaign, taking place at several Al Meera branches from August 15 to September 15.

In addition, MOEHE will participate in events in Msheireb from August 25 to 27, offering educational, recreational and interactive activities for children and families.

MOEHE said the campaign is designed to support an integrated start to the new academic year while strengthening shared responsibility for education and encouraging partnerships among organisations involved in the educational process.

The campaign aims to help create a motivated and engaging start to the 2026-2027 academic year for students, families and the wider educational community.
