The Qatar Meteorology Department has announced the start of the Al-Haq’ah star period, which began on 3 July 2026 and will continue for 13 days. Al-Haq’ah is the third of the summer star mansions and the first star of the Gemini constellation, marking another stage in Qatar’s summer weather cycle.
The name Al-Haq’ah comes from its resemblance to a circular shape around a horse’s neck. During this period, the Indian monsoon low-pressure system dominates much of the Arabian Peninsula, contributing to intense summer conditions across the region.
Residents can expect very hot temperatures, dry weather and frequent dust storms as the season progresses. The Al-Haq’ah period is considered one of the driest phases of the summer, with limited humidity compared with later summer periods, although daytime heat remains intense.
