The Ministry of Interior Qatar has advised motorists to follow important safety guidelines while driving during rainy weather to ensure safety on the roads. With wet and slippery conditions expected during rainfall, drivers are urged to be more cautious and responsible to avoid accidents and ensure safe travel for everyone.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of reducing speed while driving in the rain, as wet roads can reduce tire grip and increase stopping distance. Drivers are also advised not to overtake other vehicles during rainy conditions, as sudden lane changes and reduced visibility can increase the risk of collisions.

Motorists should maintain a safe distance between vehicles to avoid rear-end collisions, especially when traffic slows down suddenly. Using windshield wipers is also essential to maintain clear visibility while driving in rainy weather. The Ministry also advised drivers to apply brakes gradually and avoid sudden braking to prevent skidding.

Additionally, drivers were warned not to be misled by water puddles and to avoid attempting to drive through them, as water may be deeper than it appears and could cause vehicles to lose control or stall. The Ministry wished everyone safe travel and reminded all road users to follow safety guidelines during rainy weather conditions.
