Eid Al Fitr Holiday 2026 in Qatar Announced by Amiri Diwan

Eid Al Fitr Holiday in Qatar has been officially announced by the Amiri Diwan, confirming the holiday schedule for ministries, government entities, and public institutions across the country.

According to the announcement, the Eid holiday for ministries, other government agencies, and public bodies and institutions will begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and will continue until Monday, March 23, 2026. Employees in these entities will resume work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, following the holiday period.

For the financial sector, the holiday schedule will be determined separately. The start and end dates of the Eid holiday for the Qatar Central Bank, financial institutions under its supervision, the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, and financial markets under their supervision will be announced by the Governor of Qatar Central Bank.

The announcement comes as Qatar prepares to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, one of the most significant Islamic holidays marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Residents across Qatar can expect several days of holiday as government entities pause operations during the festive period.
