Qatar Museums (QM) announced the December lineup of its newly launched, Architecture and Design – Turning Vision Into a Universal Dialogue programme, introduced as part of the landmark exhibition I. M. Pei: Life is Architecture at ALRIWAQ.

Part of a wider, ongoing initiative, the December programme brings together architects, designers, and students from around the world through lectures, workshops, and public events, nurturing cross-generational collaboration and global dialogue on contemporary questions in architecture and design.

Throughout the month, visitors will enjoy a rich lineup of screenings in collaboration with the Doha Film Institute, expert-led lectures, and panel discussions that offer new perspectives on today’s designscape.

December 4, will see the screening of ButoHouse, film by Ila Beka and Louise Lemoine.

December 8, will feature the screening of: Home: And I Was Left Behind (2020), a short documentary by Maysaa Al Mumin; The Palm Tree (2015), a short documentary by Jassim Al Rumaihi; Emsahar (2020), a short animated narrative by Hassan Al Jahni; Past: Makhbz (2015), a documentary by Aisha Al Muhannadi; I Have Been Watching You All Along (2017), a narrative by Rawda Al-Thani; Sh’hab (2018), a narrative by Amal Al Muftah; and Voices from the Urbanscape (2017), a documentary by Shaima Al Tamimi and Mariam Salim.

December 11, will feature Rehab From Rehab, a film by Ila Beka and Louise Lemoine.

On December 14, expert Elena Manferdini will hold a lecture and discussion titled ‘RGB’ in which will she explore the role of color in architecture and examine the impact of AI on design and architectural practice through Atelier Manferdini’s 2025-26 Rome Opera House project.

December 25 will see the screening of Al Muqana3 (2012), an animation by Tarek Abu Esber; Treasures of the Past (2017), a documentary by Rawan Al Nassiri and Nada Bedair; Khurshid (2017), a narrative by Mazen Shafea and Mohamed Elamin; and Kashta (2016), a narrative by A.J. Al-Thani.
