Old Doha Port

Old Doha Port has announced the official launch of its maritime transport service for all upcoming events, following the notable success recorded during the Qatar Boat Show 2025.

According to the port’s statement, this initiative is part of a broader series of projects designed to elevate service quality and enhance visitor experience at Old Doha Port. It aims to improve comfort, streamline access, and ensure high operational efficiency across all events taking place within the destination.

As part of the new service, visitors will be able to travel easily and smoothly to Old Doha Port from two main departure points: Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha and Pearl Island. This enhancement provides a convenient and distinctive travel experience while highlighting the strong collaboration among partner entities.

During the four-day Qatar Boat Show 2025, more than 1,500 passengers used the maritime transport service to access the exhibition, making it one of the event’s standout features. The offering introduced an innovative and enjoyable way for visitors to explore the port and its vibrant waterfront.

The continued implementation of this service strengthens Old Doha Port’s presence as a world-class maritime destination focused on seamless access and elevated visitor experiences. It also reflects ongoing efforts to merge the port’s traditional Qatari heritage with Qatar’s modern identity, reinforcing the country’s position as a global hub for tourism and maritime innovation.

Old Doha Port CEO, Eng. Mohamed Abdullah Al Mulla, emphasized the commitment to providing innovative services that support the growth of the maritime and tourism sectors. He noted that the success of the maritime transport service during the Qatar Boat Show highlights the value of offering diverse access options for visitors.

The port has decided to adopt this service as a permanent feature and will soon launch an official tender to appoint a specialized maritime transport operator. This step aligns with the announcements made during the press conference unveiling the 2025–2026 Old Doha Port events calendar, ensuring enhanced transport options for future major events.

The expansion of the maritime transport service marks a key milestone in Old Doha Port’s ongoing development journey. It sets new standards of comfort and luxury, offering visitors innovative ways to explore the destination as it continues to grow as a premier venue for major events year-round.
