This October, Qatar Museums (QM) offers a vibrant lineup of cultural and creative experiences for all ages.
In a statement on Tuesday, QM clarified that the program features from hands-on workshops in sculpture at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, to storytelling, heritage tours, and family activities at the National Museum of Qatar and the Museum of Islamic Art, there’s something for everyone.
Toddlers can explore sensory food play at Dadu, while teens and adults can develop photography and design skills.
Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art presents a panel discussion as part of Mental Health Awareness month and workshops ranging from crafting wooden sculptures to drawing self-portraits with the help of a mirror.
Shaping Culture- Shape, Sand, and Create: Make Your Own Wooden Sculpture on October 5, 2025. Step into the workshop and transform a simple wooden block into your own hand-crafted sculpture. Inspired by forms from the Mathaf collection, you’ll sand, smooth, and finish your piece with natural olive oil, revealing the wood’s hidden textures and character. In just two hours, you’ll leave with a sculpture that carries both your personal touch and Mathaf’s inspiration. No prior experience is required, just bring your hands and curiosity.
Panel Discussion: Unmasking the Mind – The Healing Power of Art, Sound and Story on October 8, 2025. A special Mental Health Awareness Month panel will explore how art, music, and storytelling help us process, connect, and heal. Led by artists, healers, and mental health professionals, this warm and honest conversation invites you to experience the transformative power of creative expression. Because sometimes, when words fall short, creativity speaks. Panelists: Dr. Zhivka Pesha, Dr. Marta Casillas, Olga Velcheva, Ramzi Bou Kamel, and Melina de Moura (Moderator).

On October 27, 2025, Fashion Forward: Upcycling Style Workshop is a 7-month journey happening once a month at Mathaf Museum. In collaboration with Sustainability Week, teens will transform everyday materials into bold, wearable art—leading up to a final fashion show where they’ll showcase their unique designs!
Art lessons with Ismail Azzam
Every Sunday and Tuesday throughout October 2025, Participants will learn different portraiture techniques using various mediums, including pencil, charcoal and paint. The workshop aims to provide a stimulating atmosphere for developing artistic talent, sharing experiences and engaging in artistic discussion.

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) offers its monthly storytelling sessions in English and Arabic, alongside a family day and workshop celebrating the importance of water in Islamic art.

On October 1, 2025, Dadu – Qatar’s Children’s Museum – hosts a Food Play workshop, allowing young children to discover new foods in a fun and relaxed way. The workshop stimulates curiosity and expands their food preferences, giving children an opportunity to explore their senses through observation, touch, smell, and squishing, without the pressure to eat or try new foods.
This workshop is designed for children aged 2 to 4 years and is expected to foster curiosity and broaden appreciation for different flavors.
M7 – Qatar Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Design, Fashion, and Technology – will host The Art of Bloom Workshop on October 18, 2025, including vase painting and floral arrangement sessions. Participants will explore the harmony between art and nature, designing their own vases and creating vibrant bouquets.
This year, Qatar Museums celebrates its 20th anniversary. In this context, the Evolution Nation campaign, a continuous 18-month initiative, honors Qatar’s cultural journey over the past 50 years since the founding of the National Museum of Qatar.
