The Ministry of Labour has officially announced the end of the summer midday work ban for outdoor workers, effective 15 September 2025. This marks the conclusion of the seasonal restrictions aimed at protecting workers from the extreme summer heat.
With the ban lifted, outdoor workers in construction, maintenance, landscaping, and other sectors can now resume normal working hours. Employers are strongly urged to ensure that all work continues to comply with occupational safety and health regulations.
The Ministry highlighted that adherence to safety guidelines remains critical to protecting the wellbeing of workers, particularly in outdoor environments where temperatures can still be high during the day.
