The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) and the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) will be closed for one day only on Monday, September 15. This temporary closure comes in line with city arrangements related to the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit and the associated road closures in Doha.
Both museums will reopen to the public and resume their official schedules starting Tuesday, September 16.
Known as two of Qatar’s most iconic cultural landmarks, MIA and NMoQ regularly welcome residents, tourists, and school groups, offering world-class exhibitions, interactive experiences, and insights into Qatar’s heritage and global history. The closure is a short-term measure to ensure smooth logistics in the city, and visitors are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly.
