Roblox, one of the world’s most popular online gaming and creation platforms, has become inaccessible for users in Qatar, according to widespread reports on social media.

The disruption follows recent calls on social platforms to block the game over concerns related to children’s safety. Although Roblox is still downloadable from the Android and Apple app stores, users are unable to progress beyond the home screen. Attempts to access the web version also fail.

So far, no official statement has been issued by Qatari authorities regarding the situation.

Roblox, developed by Roblox Corporation, has amassed more than 1.5 billion downloads across platforms. In June 2025, it was the most downloaded gaming app worldwide on Google Play, according to Statista.
