The Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), has officially launched the sixth edition of ‘Career Village’, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and the Ministry of Labour (MoL). The three-day event opened on Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by senior officials and brings together over 40 leading public and private entities to engage hundreds of middle and high school students each day.
Held annually, Career Village is QCDC’s flagship career exploration initiative that connects students with real-world career experiences through hands-on, immersive activities. This year’s edition aligns with the Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030, focusing on bridging the gap between education and labor market needs.
Since its inception in 2017, Career Village has engaged more than 10,000 students, offering a practical platform for career discovery. The 2025 edition features:
- Experiential learning zones
- Interactive workshops on soft-skills development and industry trends
- Personalized counseling sessions with career-guidance professionals
Participating students will connect with professionals across a wide range of sectors including Security and Public Administration, Aviation and Aeronautics, Technology and Education, Finance, Investment, and Banking, Energy, Manufacturing, and Retail, Transportation and Logistics, Medicine and Healthcare, Humanitarian and Social Work, Media, PR, Hospitality, and Tourism.
These experiences provide students with firsthand exposure to the day-to-day realities and emerging trends within each industry, strengthening their career planning and professional awareness.
