Apple is preparing to reveal a suite of new AI-driven features designed to improve iPhone battery life with the upcoming iOS 19, set to be officially announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025, running from June 9 to 13.
According to early reports, iOS 19 will integrate advanced artificial intelligence technologies to optimize battery usage. The system will analyze individual phone usage habits and adjust app power consumption in real time to extend battery performance. One notable addition is a new lock screen indicator that shows how much time is left until the iPhone is fully charged.
These upgrades form part of Apple’s broader ‘Apple Intelligence’ initiative, an evolving set of AI capabilities the company began introducing in 2024. The battery enhancements are particularly relevant for the anticipated iPhone Air, which is expected to feature a slim design and smaller battery, making efficiency gains more important than ever.
In addition to battery-related improvements, iOS 19 will include smarter Wi-Fi management. Apple plans to simplify how users connect to public Wi-Fi networks by allowing login credentials for captive networks, like those in hotels, airports, and cafés, to sync across devices. This means users won’t need to re-enter information repeatedly on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
These and other enhancements are expected to be formally announced at WWDC 2025, where Apple typically showcases its latest software innovations.
